About James Joseph SalonJames Joseph Salon opened in 1997 with 5 stylists in a 1000 square foot basement on Boston's fashionable Newbury Street, home of 70 salons in 7 blocks. 5 years later, we moved to a 2100 square foot architecturally dynamic, sun splashed loft at 30 Newbury Street with 19 stylists. Our miraculous growth is due to the deep commitment of our staff of skilled stylists to our clients, to each other and to our craft. We strive to constantly educate ourselves in the most current hair care techniques and to make a warm and welcoming environment for our clients. The knowledge of our staff has been featured in numerous magazines and repeatedly on television. We have also developed an extensive training program that has produced some of the most talented stylists in Boston. Our apprentices train for over 18 months before taking clients, and our entire staff attends monthly classes. We believe that growth is a product of learning and hard work. Our Awards and the remarkable amount of Press, Editorial, and Television we have received reflect that hard work and the appreciation of our clients. And we have an amazing group of clients ranging in age from 17 to 70. In the future, expect to see a James Joseph Professional Product Line and the affordable James Joseph Studio.
